The labyrinth of alleys and hills have created a “miniature garden city” that showcases medieval and early modern quaint.

Walking through the alleys and hills, as if you were lost in a maze, you will experience unexpected joy and a mysterious space where the mountains, the sea, and the town become one.

On the mountain side of Onomichi is Senko-ji Temple, which offers a panoramic view of Onomichi town and the Onomichi Channel.
As you going down from Senko-ji Temple, you will find the ‘Cat Trail’. Cats live in the narrow alleyway, and there are also ‘Fukuishi Neko’, cats painted on round stones, which provide a soothing place for visitors.
You can also enjoy Setouchi-grown Tochu tea from the islands of Onomichi City.
